Additional Information

Missing the taste of Singapore? Wherever you are in the world, stir up a tasty herbal Bak Kut Teh soup using our ready-to-cook mix, a combination of Chinese traditional herbs and spices, grounded into an aromatic blend. Packed in convenient sachets, enjoying Bak Kut Teh is as simple as boiling the sachets with water, meat, garlic and seasoning!

Cooking Tip: To make the Bak Kut Teh more aromatic, simply cook for a longer period of time.

    • Add 1 big piece of garlic for every sachet used.
    • Pour 6 rice-bowls of water and bring to boil.
    • Add 1/2 - 1kg of meat and cook for 2 hours under low fire.

Flavour with either soya sauce or salt. Simmer for another 30 mins before serving.

For Vegetarians: Meat is not required.

Keep in cool dry place. Keep refrigerated if do not use immediately or once packet is opened.

Bak Kut Teh literally means "Meat Bone Tea" in the Hokkien dialect, but there is actually no tea in the dish. The name comes from the Chinese tea that is usually served together with this popular soup.
