The two Integrated Medical Centres in Hong Kong offer holistic preventive treatments to the public.   • All utilities are properly cleansed and sterilized. Only disposable acupuncture needles are used to guarantee absolute hygiene.
  • All herbal preparations are centrally supplied by Eu Yan Sang to guarantee quality and safe consumption.
  • Automated herbs brewing and packaging systems provide hygienic preparation and convenient decoction.
  • Concentrated Chinese medicine granules are dispensed based on physician’s prescription and packaged in single-dose packs to facilitate portability and ease of medication.

Dr. Yip graduated from the Beijing University of TCM with a Bachelor Degree in Chinese Medicine (General Practice), and subsequently awarded Master and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Medicine of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. Beijing.

Highest Qualification: Master in Chinese Medicine

Cheung Chin graduated from the Fujian University of TCM with a Bachelor Degree and a Master Degree (Clinical medicine).

Weather-based Moxibustion Method Available (Winter-term)

To reinforce the preventive power of weather-based moxibustion in summer, there will be another weather-based moxibustion in winter time. It is a special method of moxibustion where medicated heat patches are applied onto meridian points during the coldest days of the year, to prevent winter diseases such as asthma, seasonal allergy or rhinitis allergy, flu, chronic cough, chronic bronchitis, arthritis,stomach ache, diarrhea, etc.

In the Chinese Lunar Calendar, each year, there are 3 special days in between December and January when the temperature or Yin is at its optimum, which are most suitable to apply moxibustion for the body to absorb and store Yang. This year, the coldest periods of summer fall on:

December 22, 2011 (Thursday)
December 31, 2011 (Saturday)
January 9, 2012 (Monday)

Remark: Weather-based moxibustion can be applied on any day within the month of December to January.

Ms So graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor Degree in Chinese Medicine, and a Master Degree in Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture). Angel had the training in acupuncture at the Guangdong Provincial TCM Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. She had the postgraduate study and research on the acupuncture treatment in infertility of ovulatory dysfunction.

Synopsis:

In traditional Chinese medicine, diet is one of the most important aspects of maintaining good health and treating ailments. Eating well and eating right is about moderation, discipline and balance. Wellness is nourished with the right taste, along with food and herbs chosen and consumed in the right seasons or circumstances.
