Ms.Cheng graduated from Xiamen University, PRC and Hong Kong Baptist University, and obtained a Bachelor Degree and a Master Degree in Chinese Medicine respectively.

Liver is an important organ in the body. However, the lifestyle nowadays is damaging the liver function, e.g. eating oily food, drinking alcohol, working pressure etc. This health talk is aiming to introduce the factors of liver diseases and how Chinese medicine is protecting the liver.

Weather-based Moxibustion Method Available (Winter-term)
To reinforce the preventive power of weather-based moxibustion in summer, there will be another weather-based moxibustion in winter time. It is a special method of moxibustion where medicated heat patches are applied onto meridian points during the coldest days of the year, to prevent winter diseases such as asthma, seasonal allergy or rhinitis allergy, flu, chronic cough, chronic bronchitis, arthritis,stomach ache, diarrhea, etc.
In the Chinese Lunar Calendar, each year, there are 3 special days in between December and January when the temperature or Yin is at its optimum, which are most suitable to apply moxibustion for the body to absorb and store Yang. This year, the coldest periods of summer fall on:
December 22, 2011 (Thursday)
December 31, 2011 (Saturday)
January 9, 2012 (Monday)
Remark: Weather-based moxibustion can be applied on any day within the month of December to January.

Ms So graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor Degree in Chinese Medicine, and a Master Degree in Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture). Angel had the training in acupuncture at the Guangdong Provincial TCM Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. She had the postgraduate study and research on the acupuncture treatment in infertility of ovulatory dysfunction.
